On 13th June, HRH The Duke of Rothesay officially opened the Portsoy Sail Loft. Just days after flash flooding hit the area, a plaque was unveiled to mark the occasion, with members of NESPT in attendance, including Chairman Marcus Humphrey. Eleven years on from acquiring the category B listed buildings from the Seafield Estate, January 2017 marked a milestone for the North East Scotland Preservation Trust (NESPT) in ensuring a viable future for the Sail Loft project at Back Green, Portsoy. On 27th and 28th October, NESPT held a conference and site visits to celebrate the creative re-use of Aberdeenshire's built heritage.
